Venerable Tenzin Drölma Satimā

Since the beginning of this year 2024, with the arrival of Venerable Satima, the center has grown on a spiritual level because her practice and the rigor of her meditation motivate residents to give the best of themselves for the Dharma.

She is a Buddhist Nun in the Tibetan Mahayana-Vajrayana Tradition.
Resident in Nalanda Center, responsible for teaching all participants.
Was born in Germany to an German mother and a Sri Lankan father.

• Started meditating in the Buddhist Zen Tradition and Christian Mysticism (Shamatha) in 2009, spent some time in a German Hindu Ashram and practiced in many Monasteries and Meditation Centers in Germany and Sri Lanka (Vipassana).
• Followed trainings in “Constellation Work according to Far-East Wisdom” for over 13 years.
• Yoga Teacher in the Swami Sivananda Tradition.
• Has two university degrees: a State Exam for the teaching profession and a Magistra Artium (M.A) in the subjects History and English.
• Has previously been ordained as a Dasasil Mata in the Sri Lankan Theravadin tradition by Bhante Kidagamulle Pemasiri Thero in Sumathipala Nahimi Senasun Aranya in Kanduboda/ Sri Lanka on May 15, 2022.
• Since May 15, 2023, is a Getsülma-Nun in the Tibetan Mahayana-Vajrayana Tradition.
• Traces the spiritual path of Nalanda Center with a lot of commitment to the practice of meditation.
